From the casinos to the activities to culinary experiences and the attractions, such as Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art
and INFINITY Science Center
at NASA Stennis Space Center that are unique to the area, there are many reasons to visit.
And this past Tuesday, another one was added.
Margaritaville Casino & Restaurant
opened its doors, becoming the first casino in the area to do so since the Hard Rock in 2007.
"It's the first casino to be built from the ground up since Hurricane Katrina," comments Karen Sock, general manager and COO. "Margaritaville Casino is the perfect fit for the Gulf Coast culture and the community, as well as the brand since this is Jimmy Buffett's home town."
Located on the eastern tip of Biloxi's Back Bay, the casino features an open design with slots
and table games
in the center, along with the 5 o’clock Somewhere Bar. The Margaritaville Restaurant
and the “Feeding Frenzy Buffet
” both feature Gulf Coast cuisine. Outside are multi-level dining decks and a marina
with food and drinks situated at the water’s edge. Music plays an integral role as visitors will enjoy a variety of local, regional and national acts in the various performance areas.
"We have created an exciting and fun environment for all to enjoy," says Sock. "Margaritaville Casino offers the most unique view from inside the casino which integrates with our outside plaza and marina where you can enjoy live entertainment with a wonderful view of the Biloxi Bay Bridge and the beauty of the Biloxi Back Bay."
