The Foundry Hotel
Asheville, North Carolina

Once serving as Asheville's steel foundry, the same one that forged the steel used in the Biltmore Estate, is being transformed into The Foundry Hotel. The 87-room hotel retains some of its historic architectural components and local artifacts, such as the original pulley elevator, exposed beams, steel-star fastenings and industrial-style windows.

Among the property's amenities include Iron and Clay, a 100-seat upscale restaurant and Workshop Lounge, a lobby bar housed in a former 1920s woodworking building. Foundry Marketplace will feature locally sourced retail items unique to the city and high-quality hiking/camping gear for nearby outdoor activities.

The Foundry Hotel will also offer guests hyper-localized experiences, and have on-site an all-black Tesla model X will be available to chauffeur guests around downtown Asheville.

The Bristol Hotel will open in one of the city's 1925 architectural landmarks that once the Executive Plaza. Remembering its past, the original hand-crank elevator displayed in the lobby along with 1920s-style design remains.

With 65-rooms, the property will be home to the city's first and only rooftop bar, Lumac that not only serves libations but also provides 360-degree views of the Smoky Mountains and the city center. There will also be street-front dining, Vivian's Table serving Southern Appalachian-inspired fare.
