at Colonial Williamsburg
. Where else but here can you attend a Subscription Ball, learn about the Christmas decorations on a walking tour, go caroling, enjoy wassailing and so much more.
Additionally, there are many ways you can recapture the holiday spirit while learning something new and creating some memories while in the area.
Here are just some of the events and activities that await you.
- Get into the holiday mood at William & Mary’s Yule Log Ceremony on December 11. Starting at 6 p.m., the festive evening includes everything from music to holiday readings.
- Take a tour, watch demonstrations and more during A Colonial Christmas at Jamestown Settlement and Yorktown Victory Center through January 3, 2011.
- Experience Europe during the holidays without needing your passport at Christmas Town at Busch Gardens (through December 31). Explore countries’ holiday traditions, and pick up something at Germany’s Mistletoe Marketplace. Take in a holiday show or two, such as Deck the Halls in Germany or Rejoice in Ireland. The possibilities for holiday fun are endless.
- No holiday is complete without good food and good company. Enjoy a little of everything, from teas to meals with history lessons thrown in. Reservations are required.
While there’s never a question of what to do next in the greater Williamsburg area, the hardest part will be making sure that you have the opportunity to do everything you want to do.
